Join us for our first virtual conference for exercise instructors and rehabilitation specialists to learn about Parkinson’s exercise research and activities that can help manage symptoms of the disease.
The conference from 8:30 am-12:30 pm PST is free for all participants.
The conference presenters are:
Miriam Rafferty, PT, DPT, PhD will discuss the Parkinson’s Foundation’s recently published recommended exercise guidelines for Parkinson’s developed through a rigorous research review.
Jennifer Wilhelm, PT, DPT, NCS will discuss activities that help Parkinson’s symptoms and ways to incorporate them in exercise classes.
Nate Coomer, DPT, NCS will lead us through an exercise class that incorporates recommended exercises that can help manage Parkinson’s symptoms.
Following the conference webcast, we’ll convene a small breakout group on Zoom from 1-2 pm where participants can learn directly from physical therapists who specialize in Parkinson’s. There is limited capacity for this group and the cost to attend is $25 per participant. If you would like to attend the conference and small breakout group, please register for both sessions so that you receive the correct links to join the events.
