Join us for a cooking class with Lisa Tran of Tan Tan Cafe and Delicatessen. In this class you’ll learn how to prepare a healthy Vietnamese meal that meets our recommendations for a Parkinson’s diet. After we eat dinner you’ll hear a special presentation on the latest treatments for Parkinson’s. You’ll also get a chance to meet other people with Parkinson’s. Together you’ll learn more about our dietary recommendations for helping to manage symptoms of the disease. Our recommendations for eating a healthy diet with Parkinson’s include lots of plants! This includes fruits, vegetables, nuts, beans and spices and healthy fats. Examples of healthy fats include olive oil, avocados and nut butters. The meal that we will be making at this class will include a healthy dose of plants made from whole foods.
