Documentary Screening – The Only Day We Have

Join us on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 3:30pm to 5pm to view the documentary, The Only Day We Have, featuring Brian Grant and others living with Parkinson’s disease. The screening will be shown in the Olympia Theatre inside the new Serena Williams building on the Nike campus. There will be a Q&A following the film. Snacks and drinks will be served. The event is made possible in partnership with Nike’s Disability Network.

About the Documentary
Allan Cole, a person with Young Onset Parkinson’s disease (YOPD), shares his story of diagnosis and living day to day with a neurodegenerative disease. Discover the story of NBA great, Brian Grant and other individuals living with Parkinson’s disease.
Featured in the new film are former NBA great and founder of the Brian Grant Foundation, Brian Grant, who was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s disease (YOPD) at age 36; the film’s producer, Allan Cole, a senior administrator and professor at The University of Texas at Austin, diagnosed at age 48; “American Ninja Warrior ” Jimmy Choi, diagnosed at age 27; Keri Shaw, an accomplished marathoner; Dr. Rodolfo Savica, a renowned neurologist, researcher, and movement disorder specialist based at The Mayo Clinic; Dr. Maria De León, a neurologist and movement disorder specialist, diagnosed at age 38; Federico Archuleta also known as El Federico, an Austin, Texas-based graffiti artist, diagnosed at the age of 50 and has created several notable murals in Austin; Larry Gifford, co-founder of PD Avengers, diagnosed at age 45.
