About the Presenter

Amy Becker currently serves as the Director of Advocacy for the Michael J. Fox Foundation where she focuses on recruiting, educating and engaging the Parkinson’s community and its supporters with opportunities to make their voices heard. Prior to her current role Amy worked at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America to support and expand individual club and youth advocacy at the local, state and federal levels of government. She has been fortunate to work in causes from educational and economic equity as well as healthcare access.
Amy holds two bachelor’s degrees in political science and Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, as well as a master’s in political science from American University. Working remotely from Washington D.C., Amy enjoys watching horror films, reading, traveling whenever possible and trying to get her dog, Joker, to go on hikes with her.
