The microbiome has been implicated in the development of many chronic illnesses, including Parkinson’s disease. Join us for a discussion with Delaram Safarpour, MD who will talk about the role of the gut microbiome for people living with Parkinson’s disease.
Dr. Safarpour is an Associate Professor of Neurology at OHSU and Medical Director of the DBS Program. Her research focus is on the effect of Deep Brain Stimulation in the treatment of movement disorders as well as gastrointestinal dysfunction in Parkinson’s disease.
